We are registered for 80 children aged 3 months to 5 years and we offer ‘all year round care’ (51 weeks) or ‘term time only’ (38 weeks) or select a program that works for you by visiting the Dates and Fees page.

POSITIVE STIMULATING LEARNING
We provide a positive and stimulating learning environment in safe and secure premises. The nursery has two rooms, one for the children aged 3 months-3 years and the other for 3-5 years. We have 2 children’s toilet areas as well as 2 nappy changing areas, staff room/office and 2 outside areas.
We plan for children’s individual interests and encourage independence by ensuring that our equipment is fully accessible to the children. They can choose the activities that they are interested in, which enable the staff to engage with the children fully. We encourage the children to flow around the room to the variety of different activities and areas as well as the outside area when it is open. We open the outside area in the morning and afternoon every day and ask that suitable clothing is provided by parents for enabling this play.
We follow the children’s individual routines in the 0-3 room so their naps and feeding is similar to their home routine.
ENTHUSIASTIC, FRIENDLY STAFF
We have a team of enthusiastic, friendly staff who provide quality care for the children in our care. We follow the adult to child ratios of 0-2 years: 3:1, 2-3 years 5:1 and 3-5 years 8:1. All staff members have a current DBS (disclosure and barring check). We support the continued and ongoing training for staff members to ensure that we can support the children with the most current and up to date practice.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and each child is allocated a key person who will observe, assess and plan for their next steps of development. We aim to meet with parents regularly to discuss each child’s development and progress, as well as any areas for development.
We support students from the local schools and colleges in undertaking their work experience with us. We hope to give an insight into our daily practices at the nursery with the children and how we support each child as an individual with their learning & development.
CHILD WELFARE & CARE
The nursery provides breakfast, lunch and tea or families can choose to bring in their own. We cater for children’s allergies and individual dietary needs. We also provide snack in the morning and afternoon which is made up of a selection of fruits and vegetables with some form of carbohydrate to sustain their energy. With snack we provide milk and water and promote healthy habits such as washing their hands beforehand.
We offer the Funded entitlement for eligible children aged 2, 3 and 4 years. All children over the age of 3 years (and some children aged 2 years) are entitled to 15 hours free childcare per week. This starts the term after their 3rd birthday, and continues until their transfer to primary school. The 15 hour free entitlement will be offered between 9am and 4pm daily. No session must be longer than 10 hours, and no shorter than 2.5 hours. If the free entitlement is used over 51 weeks, the hours will be ‘stretched’, giving a total amount of 11 hours per week.
